‘A Green Fairyland’
Art Competition

Sydney-based street press magazine ‘Musique Art’ has paired up with ‘Absinthe’ to launch 3 fantastic new competitions in conjunction with the launch of ‘A Green Fairyland’

‘A Green Fairyland’ is an all day, all encompassing music and arts festival.  Held 31st October, Tumbalong Park - Darling Harbour ,will play host to a kaleidoscope of Australia’s finest in the world of music, art, film, theatre, dance, and circus. Get set to escape into a whimsical world where emerald fairies, acrobats, fire breathers, twirlers, burlesque dancers and roaming minstrels rule.  This is a land where the freakish is fascinating and the obscure is embraced.
The festival’s line up includes Blue King Brown, Katie Noonan and The Captains, Old Man River, CODA, Paul Capsis, Barons of Tang, Mojo Juju, Ilythian, Martinez, Declan Kelly & The Rising Suns, Strange Fruit…with more acts to be announced including the headliner.
Plus Australia’s leading dance, burlesque, theatre & circus troupes, as well screenings of a handful of our finest up-coming indi films...
Whatever your artistic talent, we are looking for you!
Painting, Illustration, Street art, Sculpture, Photography, Animation …….absolutely anything, we want and are willing to enter!

You have the chance to win your work exhibited on the day, which means exposure to more than 7,000 festival goers! We have two categories in the competition:

1.   ‘Open Art’ competition: You have the chance to submit anything you like to be shown in the art area at the festival! The more imaginative the better!
2.   ‘Green Fairy’ competition: With Absinthe and the ‘green fairy’ in mind you will have to come up with something that is going to stand out and really portray the idea of “A Green Fairyland’
There is a lot of room to get creative with both these categories so good luck and we look forward to seeing the entries from all you fairy folk!

To Enter
Send your entries by email to holly@musiqueart.net clearly stating the following:

•   Name
•   Phone number and website (if applicable)
•   Category
•   A 50 word blurb about you and the piece you have entered

Entries limited to 1 per person per category.
Closing date: 1st October 2009

Hello.
Art competition not only encourage  artists to show their  best skill also help them to represent the art  in an national and international level.
It also a good chance for the art lovers to enjoy the art by visiting the art competition. Personally I love art and the painting and designing of artists.
